Chill The Champagne
Our highly esteemed team manager, Mr. Terry Francona will soon be celebrating a major career milestone. I hope to see lots of “HOOPLA” going on after the game when the winning day arrives, and it will hopefully be in Boston.
Francona is positioned to pass the current third place BILL CARRIGAN when he gets just 4 more wins. Here is how the current standings read:
JOE CRONIN 1,071 wins
MIKE HIGGINS 560 wins
BILL CARRIGAN 489 wins
TERRY FRANCONA 486 wins
AND THAT MEANS ONLY 14 GAMES AWAY FROM 500 WINS ! ! ! ! !
Congrats to Terry, and the entire Red Sox organization….hope you stick around long enough to beat Joe Cronin. We’re a patient bunch, we waited 86 years to win a Championship !! Great Job Tito, you are respected league-wide.
Mr. Clay Buchholz is the International League’s Pitcher of the Week. Clay has an impressive .79 ERA 13 K’s 3 walks in his past 2 starts.
(He has yet to allow more than 3 hits in a game this year.) Keep it up Clay-man !
David Ortiz is sad to see that the media has strongly focused on what he isn’t doing,he wants us to have faith…and be patient. After all, he has had a worst slump than this before:
April 17th through July 6th in 2002 128 at bats (and bounced-back nicely)*
Remember to enjoy every inning, every game Red Sox Nation.
